About this work
Cupido (Amor) sits on a triumphal chariot. Jupiter sits on the chariot in front of him. Walking in front of the chariot are classical poets who wrote about love: Marcellus, Ovid and Tibullus. Following the chariot are victims of love: Solomon, Hercules, Pyramus and Thisbe. The procession is on its way to the temple of the goddess of love Venus, visible in the left background. Below the image is an explanatory text in Latin. This print is part of an album.
