About this work
King Cyrus discusses with Daniel why he refuses to worship the god Bel. Daniel does not want to worship an idol. He asks the priests of Bel to prove that Bel indeed eats the food placed for him every night. In front of the throne two jesters play on the ground. On the right stand the priests, on the left stands Daniel pointing towards the temple of Bel. Below the image an explanatory text in Latin. This print is part of an album.
