About this work

King Cyrus asks Daniel to worship the dragon as a god. Daniel refuses and asks permission to kill the dragon without using weapons. He feeds the dragon with cakes of tar, fat and bones that tear the dragon open from the inside. Below the image an explanatory text in Latin. This print is part of an album.
