About this work
In the temple, the angel Gabriel appears to the high priest Zacharias, telling him that he will have a son. Because Zacharias does not believe this, he is deprived of his speech. When he appears on the temple steps to address the crowd, he can no longer speak. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Luke 1. This print is part of an album.
