About this work
In the temple, on the left in the foreground, Christ sits, pointing out a veiled poor widow to two of his disciples. Richly dressed people walk toward the offering chest to throw in much money. The widow has thrown in only two coins, but according to Christ, this is more than what the rich do, because she gave out of her poverty. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Mark 12. This print is part of an album.
