About this work
The Feast of Belshazzar, King of Babylon, with his courtiers and wives. Belshazzar, seen from behind at the head of the table, sees a writing hand appear. On the table stand the stolen cups and dishes from the temple of Jerusalem. In the upper right, trumpeters stand on a balcony. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Daniel 5.
