About this work
The feast of Belshazzar, king of Babylon, with his courtiers and women. Belshazzar, seen from the back at the head of the table, sees a writing hand appear. On the table stand the stolen cups and plates from the temple of Jerusalem. Top right trumpeters stand on the balcony. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Dan. 5:5.
