About this work
The feast of Belshazzar, king of Babylon, with his courtiers and women. Belshazzar, seen from behind at the head of the table, sees a writing hand appear. On the table are the stolen cups and dishes from the temple of Jerusalem. Trumpeters stand on the balcony in the upper right. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Dan. 5:5.
