About this work

A king has given his servants the order to invite the wedding guests to the wedding feast of his son. The table is already set. However, the two servants standing by him tell him that the guests refuse to come because they have other things to do. In the background the invited guests are going to their fields. Thereupon the king gives the servants the order to invite everyone they meet on the street, including beggars. Under the scene a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Matt. 22:2. This print is part of an album.
