About this work
A king has ordered his servants to invite the guests to the wedding feast of his son. The table is already set. However, the two servants standing by him tell him that the guests refuse to come because they have other things to do. In the background, the invited guests go to their fields. Thereupon, the king orders the servants to invite everyone they meet on the street, including beggars. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Matthew 22:2. This print is part of an album.
