About this work

Justice sits on a cloud, with the tables of the law beside her. A putto shows her a mirror. Before her stands an altar upon which three religious books lie. Truth kneels before the altar and is crowned by an allegorical female figure. Beside them, a putto lets a plumb line swing. To the right, an allegorical female figure with a scourge drives away two figures.
