About this work
Allegory of the bravery of the Prince of Orange during the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815. Liberty crowns a bust of the prince with a laurel wreath; on the left, History records the event. Liberty tramples a dragon with her foot. In the sky, Fame blows her trumpet with a cloth hanging from it bearing the date '16 June 1815'. In the caption, a four-line verse. See also the print.
