About this work

A geisha tuning her shamisen. In front of her stands a leaf-shaped tray with a handle, a tobacco bon, against which a music book is placed. The cat watches. Blossoms in the background. The word flower (hana) is also a synonym for geisha. The title refers to a freed geisha but could also mean a personal assistant. With three poems.
