About this work

During the banquet of Absalom, Amnon, the eldest son of David, is murdered. The banquet takes place in a fine room where a large company sits at a festively set long table. Servants carry crockery and in the background an orchestra plays in an orchestra pit. In the front right Amnon is attacked and stabbed with a sword. Numbered bottom right: No. 59 1.
