About this work
The judges Samson and Samuel. Samson holds the skin of the lion in one hand and the jawbone of a donkey in the other. In the background in the landscape Samson can be seen killing a lion with his bare hands and carrying the gates of Gaza above his head. Next to him stands the prophet Samuel. In the background Samuel anoints Saul as king. Below the image explanatory texts in Latin. Print is part of an album.
