About this work

The bad shepherd drives the flock of sheep into a stable, the roof of which is being destroyed by two men with pickaxes. Through a hole in the wall a sheep is stolen. In the foreground to the right a dead sheep lies on the ground. In the background a hilly landscape in which sheep are attacked by wolves on the left, while on the right the farmers drink and shear the sheep. Below the scene in the margin a six-line text in Latin.
