In the foreground, Cain stands on a ladder with a bundle of straw on his shoulder. He is making the roof of a house. In the background in the hut, his wife with their son Enoch as a baby. Sheep and goats walk on the yard. In the background, Cain is cursed by God because of the murder of Abel. The print has a Latin inscription.
