About this work
In the center stands a winged female figure, laurel wreath on her head, on an anchor. She sows wheat and points to the sky. Before her a man digging a hole with his spade among the thistles to hide his earthly treasures (vessels and coins). Behind her a woman harvesting the grain. In the foreground two naked children. In the background the repentant King David, kneeling in prayer in a wooden shed. Top left Christ on a rainbow in the clouds, worshipped by Mary and John. Top right an angel with a skull in his hand in the clouds. With an inscription of 4 columns, each 4 lines of Latin and 4 lines of Dutch.
