About this work

A gentleman dressed in the French fashion of ca. 1660. He wears a doublet with a wide lace collar, breeches, and stockings with wide garters. Shoes with bows. A pointed hat with a wide brim and a bow on the long hair falling over his shoulders. Gloves in hand. Behind him a young man dressed almost identically. To the right rear, a rider and a fountain.
