About this work
Minerva defeats Vulcanus in a fight. She stands with a spear aimed at Vulcanus, who lies on the ground. In the sky Cupido with bow and quiver. On the ground an owl with a broken arrow in its beak. The print has a Latin motto. Possibly an emblematic representation: wisdom conquers passionate (fiery) love.
