About this work

Siege of Geertruidenberg, March 28 - June 26, 1593, by the States Army under the command of Prince Maurice. Plan of the city and the nearby surroundings with the positions of the besieging troops and the Spanish troops. To the left the closed harbor at the Biesbos. Legend 1-14 printed separately in four columns in Dutch below the plate. At the end of the text the inscription 'Overwonnen den 25. Iulij 1593'. Part of the collection of maps taken from a later edition of: Descrittione di tutti i Paesi Bassi by Lodovico Guicciardini.
