About this work

Landscape with Minerva and the owl as a symbol of wisdom. Minerva wears a plumed hat, holds a spear, and leans on her aegis (shield with the Medusa head). The frame contains a Latin border inscription referring to the role Minerva played in the Judgment of Paris. She is one of the three goddesses Paris had to judge and offered him victory in the struggle. This print is part of an album.
