About this work

Title page for a series on the seven sacraments. Centrally the title with below it a basket of breads and seven barrels. Above and below the title a frieze with depictions of the seven sacraments: baptism, confirmation, confession, Eucharist, anointing of the sick, holy orders, and marriage. On the left and right ornaments, symbols, and Bible texts related to the sacraments. On the left, among other things, musical instruments and the book with the seven seals from Revelation. On the right: the seven-branched candelabrum, a sacrificial lamb, wine barrels, and a baptismal font. Below the image a four-line verse in Latin. This print is part of an album.
