About this work

Bearing injustice patiently as one of the seven spiritual works of mercy. In the center the arrest of Christ. Above it various depictions of the Passion of Christ. Around the central image depictions of Bible stories related to bearing injustice. Top left Moses and Aaron who were to be stoned, top right Job on the dunghill, bottom right the prophet Elisha and a king, and bottom left the arrest of the apostles. On the left and right Paul and Peter. Within the image various Bible texts in Latin. Below the image a four-line verse in Latin. This print is part of an album.
