About this work

Standing woman dressed in a striped dress of 'cotepali'. Mameluk sleeves with the upper puff of the same material. On her head a hat of 'paille d'Italie' trimmed with blonde (bobbin lace) and aigrettes. Around her shoulders a long spotted scarf with fringes at the ends. To the left a seated woman, seen from the back, dressed in the same dress. Print from the fashion magazine Petit Courrier des Dames (1821-1868). Bound (with some pages from Le Journal des Dames et des Modes). 15 January 1827 to 20 March 1830. Incomplete.
