About this work

The deceased Guido de Montefeltro, dressed as a Franciscan, lies on the ground in a chapel. The devil seizes him by the cord around his waist; on the right, the apparition of St. Francis, both struggling for his soul. In the background, a funeral procession. Text in Italian on the two papers.
