About this work

The fifth angel blows the trumpet and a falling star opens the bottomless pit, from which smoke and locusts emerge that torment people without the seal of God on their foreheads. In the margin a four-line inscription in Latin. Tenth print from a series of twenty-four depicting the Revelation of John on Patmos.
