About this work

In the temple, Pharisees bring a woman caught in adultery to Christ. The Pharisees ask what Christ thinks of the law of Moses which states that such women should be stoned. Christ writes with his finger on the ground: let him who is without sin cast the first stone. Below the representation, the title in Latin. According to the Bible text in Joh. 8:3.
