About this work

Octagonal cartouche with garlands containing tools, insects, snakes, and birds. On the left and right, a winged herm with the sun, respectively moon, at the top a skull with bat wings and an hourglass. In the cartouche, three men working in a goldsmith's workshop. On the right, a man enters through a door. In the foreground, a small human and a dog. In the background, behind a balustrade, a man removing his hat.
