About this work
Three putti, equipped with a spear, a lute, and a censer, stand next to a beehive. The heads of the putti are successively helmeted, laurelled, and winged. The representation is framed by leafy branches in which an eagle and a dove sit at the top; on the right hang the attributes of painting and music, and on the left a hand mirror with a caduceus.
