About this work
In the foreground the Good Samaritan rides away on his donkey. In the middle ground he pays the innkeeper the money for the care of the wounded traveler. Through the window of the inn the wounded man can be seen lying in bed. A woman brings him food. On the cabinet against the wall stands a crucifix. Below the image a two-line text in Latin from Luke 10 and a six-line verse in German.
