About this work
Woman of standing, walking in the countryside in a morning dress or 'deshabillé'. The 'demi-polonaise' consists of a bodice and a shoulder cape with hood and a skirt with a small train. Straw hat with ribbons and flowers to protect the face from the sun. Heeled shoes with rosettes. Further accessories: collarette, long gloves, bracelet, fan, walking stick. Print from series G. 7th Cahier des Costumes Français, 1st Suite d'Habillemens de Femmes à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
