About this work

Woman in a circassienne of 'gaze d'italie puce' with a skirt of the same fabric. Over it, a second pink skirt, trimmed with brocaded net with a blue ribbon to which flowers are attached. 'Bouilloné' at the bottom. Sleeves (engageantes) of filet. High hairstyle with a 'chapeau en Coquille' trimmed with flowers and feathers. From series K. 10th Cahier de Costumes Français, 4th Suite d'Habillemens à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
