About this work
Standing young woman, seen from the back, with coiffure 'à la Dauphine'. She wears a 'robe à la Reine' of silk taffeta, trimmed with fur, cords, bows and tassels. Underneath a skirt, trimmed with cords and fur. The dress was designed by Sarrazin, 'costumier' to the royal family. Accessories: bonnet (cap) with a string of beads, heeled shoes with rosettes. Print from series N. 13th Cahier de Modes Françaises, 7th Suite d'Habillemens à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
