About this work
Seated woman with a guitar. She wears a taffeta bodice, a devant-de-gorge, and a skirt, with a ruffled strip of taffeta with a white ground at the hem, in which different colors are woven in ikat. Hat decorated with flowers, around which a ribbon is wound. Bead necklace around the neck. Shoes with rosettes. Print from series cc. 27th Cahier de Costumes Français, 21st Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1779, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
