About this work
Young woman seated on a chair playing a guitar. Her left foot rests on a footstool. She wears a long-sleeved gown with a high waist and a small train. A hairband in her hair. Further accessories: necklace consisting of two strands, long shawl over the back of the chair, flat shoes with pointed toes. The print is part of a series of 20 fashion prints, published by Gide, Paris, Year VII, 1797-1799.
