Man in black costume for 'deep mourning' at the French court. It consists of a frock coat, waistcoat, and breeches. Cravat, ruffled jabot, and cuffs. Woolen stockings. Under the arm, a triangular pocket with a mourning band of crêpe. At his left side, a sword with a mourning band of crêpe. Shoes with square buckle.
