Two women dressed for the mi-caême (half-Lent) costume ball. Left: woman in a japon and decorative apron with floral motif, trimmed with a pleated strip of lace(?). Flat hat with veil and feathers. Necklace with cross-shaped pendant. Right: woman in evening japon with boat neck. Bodice decorated with rows of bows. Short puffed sleeves with three layers. Floral corsages on sleeves and skirt. Wide skirt held up at the front, petticoat with pleated strips of fabric. Accessories: diadem, earrings, necklace, fan. Print from Journal des Gens du Monde....
