According to the accompanying text, the print shows a man in 'grande Parure': a habit of purple satin, embroidered with pink and green silk, an embroidered waistcoat of white satin and satin breeches in the same colour as the jacket, with embroidered garters. White silk stockings. His hairstyle is called 'grecque carré' and has three curls. Hat with a white feather under the arm. Sword on the left side. Ruffled jabot and cuffs. Triangular pocket under the arm. Shoes with buckles and red heels. The print is part of the 2nd Cahier from Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 15 November 1785 - 1 November 1786.
