About this work

Standing young man dressed in a frock coat of green satin with a double row of buttons. He wears a neckerchief, checkered waistcoat, breeches and stockings. Ruffled jabot and cuffs. Accessories: hat, walking stick with ribbon and tassels, fobs, shoes with buckles. The print is a mirror-image copy by publisher J.J. Tuttot in Liège, after the 2nd Year, 3rd Cahier, from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 - 21 December 1789.
