About this work
Young woman, according to the accompanying text, in a 'robe en chemise' of transparent muslin with a double pleated collar, over a bodice and skirt of pink taffeta. Around the neck a fichu. On the head a simple bonnet, decorated with a string of pearls and feathers. A tuft of tulle falls down like a veil. Accessories: earrings, black velvet ribbon around the waist, shoes with bows. In the right hand a flower. The print is part of the 11th Cahier from the series Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 15 November 1785 - 1 November 1786.
