About this work
Two women's busts with hats on their curly hair: a white hat, decorated with plumes and bordered with a garland of flowers (left), and a hat with upturned brims and three feathers (right). The print is part of the 23rd Cahier, 2nd year, from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 – 21 December 1789.
