About this work

Woman, standing 'en pointe' or on her toes, dressed in a tulle dress, decorated with a biaisband of tulle and trimmed with a rouleaux of satin. 'Coiffure' decorated with 'clochettes brillantines', executed by Mr. Narcisse. Around the waist a sash, behind which a fan is tucked. Further accessories: earrings, long gloves, bracelets on both wrists, flat shoes with crossed straps. To the left, a seated woman, seen from the back, dressed in an identical dress. Print from the fashion magazine Petit Courrier des Dames (1821-1868).
