About this work

Woman, seated in an armchair, dressed in a tulle dress, trimmed with ruches of tulle and rouleaux of satin. On her head a toque of velvet, decorated with gold-colored galloon and some aigrettes. Further accessories: earring in the right ear, necklace, belt, fan, long gloves, bracelets on both wrists. To the right, a standing woman, seen from the back, dressed in an identical dress. Print from the fashion magazine Petit Courrier des Dames (1821-1868).
