About this work

Woman sitting on a swing, dressed in a muslin bodice, trimmed with pointed strips of fabric with a border of tulle ruffles. The bodice is decorated with tulle ruffles. On her head a hat of crêpe, decorated with peonies and ribbons. Further accessories: gloves, belt with square buckle, shoes with pointed toes and crossed straps. To the left stands a woman, seen from the back, dressed in the same bodice. Print from the fashion magazine *Petit Courrier des Dames* (1821-1868).
