About this work

Standing woman dressed in a tulle bodice with satin decorations. 'Coiffure' executed by Mr. Narcisse, rue neuve des Mathurins No. 31. The hairstyle is decorated with gold pinecones, 'Des magasins de Mr Cartier Boulevard des Italiens No. 2. l.' Accessories: earrings, belt (?), long gloves, fan, handkerchief, flat shoes with square toes and crossed straps. To the left, a sitting woman, seen from the back, dressed in the same bodice. Print from the fashion magazine *Petit Courrier des Dames* (1821-1868).
