About this work

A woman and a girl looking at an album together. According to the caption: 'coiffure' decorated with ribbons of 'fil d'écosse'. Gown of embroidered muslin from the fashion house Gagelin. Accessories: earring in the left ear, mittens, flat shoe with crossed straps and square toe. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855). The print is a copy after No 3022, 10 October 1832, from the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes.
