About this work
Turban of lace and satin by Mr. Alexandre. Jacket of brocaded (?) satin with gathered strips of fabric trimmed with a ruche of ribbon, by Monet. Small shoulder cape trimmed with fur. Further accessories: earrings, necklace, fan, long gloves, fire screen (fan), flat shoes. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855).
