About this work

Woman, standing by a staircase, with a hat from the shops of Hocquet on her head. Dress with mousseline pelerine from the workshops of Larcher, 'couturière de SM la Reine'. Tied neckerchief, bag, and parasol of 'gros de naples' covered with black lace. Seated figure in the same dress, seen from the back. Print from the fashion magazine Le Follet Courrier des Salons (November 1829–October 1882).
