About this work

A woman with three children outdoors; she is dressed in a dress of checkered and yellow fabric with a bustle and wears a hat. The boy is dressed in a sailor suit. The two girls wear dresses with jackets. The older girl's skirt is lifted at the back. The younger girl has a skirt with buttons and stripes on her jacket. Below the image are several lines of advertising text for various products. Print from the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles (1841-1902).
